Terry Lette
President
Terry Lette has been the President of Preferred Electric Co., Inc. since 1984. His focus is primarily in the financial aspects of PECI however he has shared responsibility for the supervision of PECI executive managers. He is State Certified as an Electrical Contractor in North Carolina and South Carolina. Mr. Lette has served as a board member for the Charlotte CETI (Carolina’s Electrical Training Institute) for the last 15 years. The committee is responsible for mapping out the success and learning structure for the students. In addition to his role with the CETI, he has served NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) as a Divisional Representative of the Charlotte Division and Governor of the Atlantic Coast Chapter of NECA for multiple years. He is also a trustee on the CERF (Carolina’s Electrical Retirement Fund). Mr. Lette is a graduate of NECA/IBEW Electrical Apprenticeship in 1982 and prior to his involvement with PECI he served in the capacities of electrician, foreman, estimator and project manager with other companies in the electrical industry.
David Howard
Executive Vice President
David Howard joined Preferred Electric Co., Inc. in 1987 as Executive Vice President. His primary focus is working with our design/build team, our estimating department and material procurement however he has shared responsibility for the supervision of PECI executive managers. He is State Certified as an Electrical Contractor in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Mr. Howard has 35 years of experience in electrical and management. He’s worked in the capacity of electrician, job foreman, project manager and estimator with other various corporations. Mr. Howard has managed electrical projects of all sizes and categories; fast track shutdowns to multi-million dollar new construction.
